Green and sustainable cultural policy
Telemarksforsking examines how the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the green transition are reflected in Norwegian cultural policy at the national and local levels. On one hand, we study the changes taking place in policy development and implementation at the state, county, and municipal levels; on the other, we explore how the cultural sector can contribute to a greener and more sustainable society.
Green and sustainable cultural life
Telemarksforsking examines how the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the green transition are changing the field of practice and local cultural life. We map how cultural institutions and individual practitioners understand and respond to sustainable and green transitions, thereby gaining insight into how the cultural sector can contribute to Norway achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
A new green cultural policy theory
The green transition is transforming both cultural policy and the field of practice. This means that research must also develop new tools to analyze these changes. Telemarksforsking participates in an international consortium working on theoretical development related to the green transition and cultural policy.
