Heidi Haukelien

Senior Reseacher / Social Anthropologist Ph.d

Associate Professor Heidi Haukelien (PhD) heads the Centre for Care Research South at USN, and holds a senior research position at Telemark Research Institute. She has extensive experience from anthropological studies of welfare- and healthcare services at the municipal-, specialist- and political level.

Haukelien is, togehter witj Trond Erik Lunder, the editor of an anthology from Telemark Research Institute, published in june 2023. The anthology, “Hvordan kommuner tenker” (How Municipalities Think) is published as open access at Universitetsforlaget. 

Haukelien is also involved in the research-project “Truststate” where the aim is to study Trust-reform initiatives in Norway and Denmark. Project leader is Christian Lo at Nordlandsforskning/Nord Universitet.
