Line Elise Holmboe

Researcher / PhD

Line Elise Holmboe is a cultural policy researcher affiliated with the research group Cultural Life and Cultural Policy. She works with cultural policy and cultural sociology issues and has particular expertise within the fields of literature and visual art.

She holds a PhD in social sciences from OsloMet. The doctoral dissertation has a literature-sociological approach and is rooted in cultural policy research. The title of the doctoral project is Literature Policy in Practice – Publishers’ Perspective on the State’s Purchasing Scheme for New Norwegian Literature (Holmboe 2024).

Holmboe works qualitatively and is particularly concerned with practice perspectives in research on cultural policy topics. She has broad experience as a cultural communicator and leader in the cultural field.
