The aim of the project is to mobilise hyperlocal capacity to explore drivers of regional attractiveness for the Telemark region
The hyperlocal (Vey and Storring, 2022; Holzer and Baird, 2025) is focused:
- within a region where people, jobs, and physical assets cluster and connect
- on bounded areas whose governance actors have a high degree of social cohesion
- on how community stakeholders come together to exert agency—governance—over their places
We explore how hyperlocal capacity and its relation to social cohesion is understood in formal place management processes of vitality and viability for town centres.
